Aesthetically Applied (AⱯ) is an open publication investigating the evolving infrastructures of media art. AⱯ writings move between two core dimensions: the aesthetic, which explores how we perceive forms of art bound to new technologies; and the applied, which examines how social, political, and economic structures shape media art and culture production. Uniting these perspectives is a belief that media art is not only a site of innovation, but also a system of contested value, labor, and meaning.

The publication is curated by Sofie Mart, an independent researcher and writer whose observations draw from her academic background in cultural analysis and hands-on experience in media art production.
